well, it's pretty funny how many people i know have been coming up to me to tell me how surprised they were to see my face on the poster and maybe throw in a few jokes about how i look on the poster haha. even i find this whole experience pretty interesting haha.
fiq and i did recorded on wed and i tot i have improved quite alot since my first show, and i find myself quite funny on air, saying lotsa stupid things haha.

thinking about it, i think joining radiopulze this sem is one of the better decisions. when i told myself i wanted a change in university to do what i wanted, i really followed this plan. now that i've done, i feel so much more fulfilled having accomplished one of my to-do/must-do-s in my lifetime. while at times i find myself in the dilemma of dedicating time to studies and my radio show, basically the whole time management thing, i think that it has been pretty alright till now.
to me, this is it: right now, i probably do not have really good grades (average at best), but at least i have managed to achieve the whole idea of a holistic education - the idea of experiencing my campus life by participating in activities that interest me (radio that is), in activities that help me gain a better understanding of my own future career (in pharm activities), all while managing my academic progression (my grades) and social development (friends).

Sat: Dinner with Meng - we haven met since uni started so there was lots to say as usual :) - i think it's quite funny how before i knew Genehow, Meng used to tell me abt him. There's certainly a difference between what i heard and what i saw. HAHAHA. Joking. (i'm quite sure Meng told Genehow about me too LOL. haha) - i was telling both Meng and Genehow (separately though) that i didnt want to call Genehow along when i met Meng just so i can "bitch" about him to Meng. haha.

it was kinda surprise for ben, caused i bought it while faking to go to the toilet. had to rush back to the canteen and "buy some cake that is on display" (Genehow told me) and the only "cake" was this (american) Carrot Cake. WHICH (for some reason i can't explain) I AGREED TO MAKE HOT. plus i only realised there were refridgerated chocalate cakes just beside the shop after paying for the HOT CARROT CAKE.
Still, as i reasoned, BEN will probably not take another of such a cake in a long time. VERY SPECIAL, and befitting for a 21st. hahaha

Fri: Lunch with Yuk - Finally met up with Yuk even since Krys left. - Still very mean to each other, even without Krys. I think it's because of me though haha
there are quite a number of things on my mind but it's really hard for me to put it down in proper (i tried, but nothing came out for half an hour) so i'll put it in wordplay:

Well, shall not talk about my results here (you know, separating studies and own life? haha) but it's kinda so-so as usual ha
Anyway, just on fri, the few of us pharmers who stay in AMK decided to gather for a small dinner gathering and apple strudel treat from ZL (only the strudel ha) at dear old Upper Thomson Road.
And it was really a fun night, lotsa laughter and jokes. Most sarcasm was from me anyways haha. I really looked forward to it since the few of us, the "uncles" proposed this "territorial" idea of gathering pple from the "village" of AMK. haha. Plus, it was after 3 CAs this week so it was a good break before the mmmugging begins again. ha AND... i believed we'll have a good time too.
And thank god it was just the way i expected :) maybe better haha.

Well, this is a belated entry for dearest Krys! - at blog time, she's left for the US of A already! -
thank goodness i took major time off to catch up with her as well as chat with her (one was 3 hours long!) the past few days before she left. the thought of not talking to her the next few months is abit WEIRD, now that i think about it! haha. She's the friend i ALWAYS turn to for ALL REASONS, good or bad. So i'll definitely miss this good friend of mine!
Anyway, Yuky and i booked our last fri for dear Krys and we went to eat at changing appetites and then headed down to timbre! my first time there, not bad i say! haha

Finally some blogging time :) haha Uni so far has been the busiest (and may i add stressful) period ever, and I KNOW it's gonna get worse. So i better keep myself constantly positive!
There's radio stuff on top of many many readings for new topics/chapters for the respective modules and practicals, and there's meetup with friends etc. the stress of the other people ACTIVELY MUGGING ALL THE TIME doesn't do anything to help.
But well, comparisons aside for now...

3) Radio Training
And yes, last week was coupled with my training to be part of the radio station. It was DAMN tiring - tues to fri (6-9pm): i literally collapsed when i reached home. Then sat - 10am to 4pm :( worried abt studies but... what to do? That said, it's exciting to be starting work as a deejay VERY SOON! haha...
P.S: Apologies once again for the lack of updates and lack of enthusiasm in my updates. For the past few days or past week in fact, i must admit i seriously derailed and lost faith in myself. I lost all energy and i guess i lost myself with all the self-doubt and worry. But i'm slowly regaining the confidence i need to have in myself...
I'm actively blogging during school term! At least for the first week,that is haha.
minor updates: 1) meet krys on thurs night 2) dinner with fanny after school on friday at holland v (see pic above: At BREKO)
random thoughts:
1) university life, in terms of studying, is way different, very open-ended and self-directed. so i guess i need some more time to adjust to this curriculum. on top of that, more "high-level" chemistry in some modules means more headache! i must be prepared to be REALLY confused haha.
2) which brings me to THANK MY SENIOR, CHERYL! THANK YOU~! (if she ever sees this) Pharm has this junior-senior sorta mentor pairing, which is kinda good. and my "senior" (one yr younger than me, that's why) was very kind to provide me with all her study materials, textbook included! very thankful to have her cause i hate to visit the library and with her stuff, i can mug at home at my own pace :) haha
3) which also brings to point out that i really need to find time to really meet friends and really talk to them (pardon me for using so many really-s) . Felt kinda bad not being there for them like how i used to be able to, since i now have school to juggle. Messaging them (call if i have time) was the most i can do, which is obviously not enough! haha...
4) socially, in school, it's pretty fine :) my peeps are mainly my FOW mates, especially fanny and genehow. funny thing is, i keep doing and saying retarded stuff with them! haha... was with Suf at library on fri afternoon and ended up talking and acting like muggers instead of really studying. LOL. haha.
5) repeating the studying routine after so long suddenly makes me realise how much i miss my tv. i used to have a tv in my own room, during college, and i could watch any programs as and when i like it! but with the renovation of my own little room, it was removed. Now i have to snatch the living room tv from my grandma or bros who usually hog the remote (and sometimes, hog and dont watch it! argh) i miss the days when i could watch ANTM, Survivor and any late night movies on my bed in my own sanctuary :( bring back the tv!
6) the only thing to counter the SEVERE musical drought (which i'm desperately trying to salvage by sourcing very hard for scandipop music haha), is probably for me to spend! i really have the urge to get a new bag (for school and etc) and new clothes (t-shirts!)! AND... lauren conrad's first book, LA CANDY!!!
jloe is a serious music addict, with an slight inclination towards swedish and scandinavian music. he will always be mandy moore biggest fan, though currently he has a (huge) soft spot for lauren conrad. in his spare time, he enjoys chatting with friends, watching movies, and basically doing whatever his heart tells him to do.
